We hit a drive in movie with the Latimer's and Strawn's this summer. We went and saw Inside-Out for family night. It was a lot of fun. We popped open the back of the suburban, brought lots of blankets and treats. It was a lot of fun!
I let Casey and Brooke each choose one camp to attend this summer. Casey chose basketball camp, and Brooke chose ice-skating. It was for one hour, for four weeks. By the end she was skating like a champ. She absolutely loved it and wants to go back for level 2. I hestitate only because it's such a long drive, but maybe we will have to try it again. She did it with her friends Addy Lewis and Kambri Strawn. We went to the Willow Park Parade for the 24th of July. I love this parade. Lots of candy, lots of fun floats and good memories! We grabbed lunch and headed to the "horses", property that we grew up with but no longer own.
We had dinner at our house and then that night we decided to hit the Willow Park fireworks which we have only been to once before, and that was last year. This year we went with my parents, Justin, and Nate and Paige and we parked behind Station 72. It was the best spot. Front row, no obstruction of our view, great company, not crowded, and I loved how you could feel the fireworks rumble your seat. We all loved it!
We also decided to hit the parade in Mendon. That was a first time and probably the last time...it was fine, but super short and nothing to brag about.
We stayed however for the candy bomber. It was super fun and they dropped tons of laffy taffy's all over the baseball and soccer field.
Then that night we hit the Mendon fireworks which in years past we have loved, but they were nothing compared to the Willow Park fireworks. Still a fun night though!
