Brooke took dance for the first time this year. She loved it and was so excited to go EVERY week. However when she had to put on that darn costume for the recital, she hated it! I did a little bit of bribing. Once it was on though she was back to her normal self, and did not hesitate one bit to get on stage and perform.
She is the 4th from the left.
Funny story. So she performed one of her dances with a teddy bear. A bow fell off her teddy bear at the beggining of the dance. The girl next to her noticed it and stops dancing, bends over and picks up the bow. She holds it over to Brooke who is still dancing. Brooke shakes her head no and doesn't take it. The other girl is just standing there like now what? The whole audience is just giggling at this whole thing. Then Brooke looks at her bear and finally notices that the bow is gone. So she stops dancing and holds out her hand to the other girl and they exchange the bow. Brooke is then trying to put it back on the bear and then dance gently with it so it doesn't fall off. It was all very cute and funny to watch. We got it all on film too!
We love you little miss Brooke! We were all there to watch you along with Grandma Call, and Great Grandma Call, and Great-Grandpa and Grandma Bracken. You have lots of love and support! You are a really good dancer and I have been asked if you are older than you are, or have taken dance before. But nope, this is your first time, you just seem to love it!
Afterwards we went and celebrated Casey's soccer goals, and Brooke's dancing with ice cream. Corey wasn't finished when we were so I stuck him in the car with his icecream (brave I know). He loved it though!
