Last fall we finished getting our sprinkler system in our backyard. But before we could finish leveling it, it snowed. So come spring that was on the top of my list. I haven't had a backyard with grass since Casey was 1 1/2 yrs old. So for 6 years...Well we also decided too put our house up for sale so we knew it would sell better with grass so we started leveling and raking and shoveling dirt, and pouring more cement for our back patio. At the same time we also tore out a section of our driveway that was cracking due to settling. Peter jackhammered it out. So then we repoured that at the same time as our back patio. Meanwhile Brooke found the pile of wood and made herself a fort in the backyard.

The morning of sod Peter came with a dump trailer full of sand and we put our sandbox in. We worked on that for a couple hours. Later that evening the sod came. We were so excited! We had awesome family and neighbors that came and helped. My brother who is on a mission wrote home joking that he was glad he missed the annual laying of sod at the Nielson's :) yes, yes, it does seem like we do it a lot.
All finished!
