The Magic Carpet
A common past time at the Call household, and a kid favorite. Grandpa can't resist a grandchild asking for a magic carpet ride. Oftentimes though it's grandpa asking the grandkids if they want to go on the magic carpet.
Everyone joins in on the fun, even Grandpa. Many adults try to ride it standing up or even laying down holding on to dear life. The magic carpet has been known to actually fly!

Brooke rides it like a boblsed, leaning forward the entire time. Casey loves to run after it and try and jump on. One time Brooke even rolled halfway off while it was going and she rolled back on and stayed on! It was so funny to watch.
Spectators (not a recommened Sunday activity, but it brings family together:)

Grandpa's driver in training. She loves to sit with him while he pulls the magic carpet.

Even dogs can't miss out on the fun. This is our neighbors dog. They would ride on the magic carpet and this dog would chase them and jump on them and ride it for a bit before hoping off and running after them again. It was quite funny to watch. So we decided the dog needed a ride for himself.

Even future missionaries can't miss out. This is Nick, my brothers best friend and neighbor growing up. He didn't actually ride it but was kind enough to pose for the camera! He left today for Peru!

We love our missionaries serving! We have a lot of family and friends out right now. Grandma and Grandpa Nielson, Uncle Nate and Uncle Spencer, and many others. Casey made the comment the other day: Mom, everybody's on missions!

I got a kick out of your comment: Brooke rides it like a bobsled! Hmm, I think only you and Peter would make that connection! ;)
Looks like fun! I'd like to see Pete "fly," maybe all the Nielson men should have a go? I have a feeling that would be quite amusing.
Thats awesome! We will have to try that one!!! And looks like someone has grandpa wrapped around her little finger! Way cute!
