Typical Sunday Dinner

We thought it would be fun to head to porcupine dam with the kayaks. So we packed some tin-foil dinners and went one evening. Little did we know that the hills were made of cow-crap. So getting in and out of the water you just had to slush your way through the poop to make it to your kayak. It was super awesome. But the lake itself was beautiful and so was the dinner...yum! Casey was in charge of dessert and had us make banana boats that they had at Lake Powell. They weren't the best hit with everyone but they weren't bad either...maybe everything tastes better after you are boating all day!

Sleep on the tramp they said...it'll be fun they said...Peter and I made it until 3 am and then went in the house. Corey woke up with mosquito bites all over his face...apparently he didn't get the spray good enough. But we saw lots of shooting stars.

Peter repelling for class.

Peter got to spend a lot of time as the priesthood at girls camp. He had a really good time full of spiritual experiences, fun in the lake, and embarrassing moments. I was able to go up on the bishopric night and it was a highlight for me. It was a different perspective for me to be there in a different capacity other than president. I was able to sit back and take it all in, talk to the girls, and just thoroughly enjoy the spirit that was there and testimony mtg.

We had the opportunity to go boating a few times this summer between all of our boating friends/family (Jeremy, Jared, Bishop). Kids have loved it and gotten pretty good. Casey is good at surfing, Brooke and Corey love knee boarding and Corey got up his first time for his first time on a knee board. Brielle is okay with the tube as long as it is slow she is happy.

Casey likes to fly his drone and take aerial pictures of our home. Kinda cool.

I had the opportunity to go to Activity Day camp with Brooke and all the other activity day girls. We had a fun day full of Archery, BB guns, Bike course, zip-lining, obstacle courses, and fishing games. We loved it!

Kids loved the chance to love on the Brandt's new bunnies

I took the kids to Bear Lake with Heather and Jessica Gnhem. It was a fun day relaxing and hanging out with my kids and friends.

Casey and his friend put together a friend party over the summer at Hyrum dam. They organized the time and place and made sure to have all the kayaks. They had a great time! They didn't want me taking any pictures so this is me sneaking them in...

At the Cache Cup Tournament Casey's team went into over time on the game to go to the championships. The last couple minutes Casey and another kid went up for a header at the same time. Casey came out in tears. Come to find out he got a concussion. This happened the beginning of July. He wasn't able to do much activity for the next 6 weeks while he recovered. So he would say the rest of his summer was boring. He wasn't able to play in the championship game but we cheered them on. He was able to recover just in time for fall season to start.

The week before Casey got a concussion he went hiking up to the top of the Wellsville's with Justin. He had a lot to haul and it was a long steep hike. They came home extremely tired and exhausted but were able to put up some trail cameras and have an amazing view of the valley. Casey loves hiking and any chance to go he does.

We went boating one evening for a couple hours and came home and couldn't find Chet. Next thing we know he was floating in the pool in a pink tube just chilling. That little stink! He jumped in again the next day but we have to rescue him because he couldn't get back out.

Kids made cow faces to get free food at Chik-fil-A

We celebrated Great-Grandma Calls Bday. We sure love her and she does so well for her age. I love talking with her. She is very in-tune with what is going on.

This was a hole to a spring that they lowered a bottle down into to get some fresh water.

We went up to Left-Hand fork where my parents and Nate and Paige were camping. Grandpa took me and the three younger kids on a 2 hour 4-wheeler ride up to a waterfall. We spent some time there playing in the water and catching butterflies.
