December: Tree of Life, Sing-a-longs, Savior of the World, Temple Square with family, Temple Square with Youth, Christmas Day, Sledding, Loft, New Years Eve, Piano Recital, Aggie Basketball Game, Ice Skating

In backwards order here is what we did in December!
Peter had to work on New Year's Eve.  So the kids and I went to Stephanie's for a New Years Party since Jenn and Jared weren't having one this year.  The kids had fun.  Peter stopped by the house on his way back from a transfer so I got to give him a quick New Year's kiss before he headed back into the station.

Sending our love to dad via a picture for New Years

I love this. I love sledding with the sun out.  If I can't have the sun with green grass this is the next best thing. This is just down the block from us.  It is so nice that it is so close.

My dad had the idea to build a loft in our garage. It has proved to be a big project but very worth it.  It is so nice to get stuff up off the garage floor and there is lots of shelving up there!
I took these three crazies ice skating.  Brooke is a natural and despite this picture it didn't take long for Corey to catch on!

Before the loft.  Casey was a huge help and spent many hours in the garage with his dad building the loft.
Our Christmas was very special and unique this year.  They were each given a gift with a clue on it.  The questions were We are going on a vacation. Who are we going with? Where are we staying? How will we get there? What will you wear? Where are we going? They had so much fun and at the end guessed we were headed to Disneyland in 13 days! That was such a fun surprise! They were so excited to go on an airplane too.

Santa brought them all some legos.

Christmas Jammies

New Year's Eve at Grandma and Grandpa Call's.  Dinner and acting out the Christmas story.

Visiting Great Grandma.  She was spotlighted at the nursing home.  My mom did a really good job putting together some of her things that make her special and that she is known for.

I helped to a center group for the Christmas Party in Brooke's classroom. We decorated Christmas cookies.  It was so fun being in her class with her.
Some days this is my life:
We took the youth to SLC for Christmas. We went on a tour of the conference center and got to go up top to see the lights.  We also took them to dinner.  It is such a fun tradition.

okay okay.  I was super cold and Heather had this extra scarf that she wrapped around my head to help keep me warm.

We took the kids and a friend to an Aggie Basketball game.  Fun times! Casey took Kaden Lindley and Brooke took MaLaine.

The kids had their sing a longs.  Corey looked so cute as a reindeer.  They all did a great job! I did have to hunt Casey down at his classroom after and embarrass him into giving me a hug and taking a picture with us.  Taught him not to run away from his mom again. Kent was in town for the holidays and came and supported the kids.

Youth 2016

Brielle at her Polar Express Party for preschool

We went to SLC with my family for a day and went and saw the new Meet the Mormon films and some lights at Temple square before heading to the Tingey Christmas Party.

I had my student's Christmas Piano Recital.  Recitals are always a lot of work, but this one was even more so.  I had each student do a duet as well as a solo. They all did great and it was one of my most favorite recitals so far!

Caroling with the Youth on a horse-driven sleigh ride! These 4 women right here are pure sunshine. They are good for my soul and we have waaaay too much fun in our calling because of it :)

Having fun with goop!

Little did we know that by hanging these snow flakes in our house we would have the most snowy winter in history!
This was party of the Light the World Challenge that our family did this Christmas Season.  What a wonderful challenge that we will make a tradition every year.  It changed everything and made the season so special.  This is my favorite scripture.

Larsen's came up for Thanksgiving.  It is so fun to have cousins around!

We went to the Nielson Christmas Party.  More cousins! No better way to spend the holidays than with family.

We stopped by the Draper lights on our way to Payson.  So beautiful!

Our New Years Kiss

Sledding and carrying your sister up the hill is not always easy! Casey's a stud!

Christmas Day we woke the kids up early so Dad could spend Christmas with us and watch the kids open their presents.  Then he headed to the fire station.  Peter took this picture of his crew on Christmas Day.  I love love this picture! Everyone's smiles are genuine!

All that snow on Christmas.  It was a white Christmas!

Latimers, Strawns and us took our 8 year olds to dinner and to go see Savior of the World.  It was so so good and such a special time spent with just Brooke.

Our crazy photographer taking selfies...
