Sister Randall

 Peter and I went to the viewing of a family friend of the Nielson's, Jani Randall.  The Randalls went to pageant every year with the Nielson's.  Their families were close friends and she was like Peter's second mom.  I had the chance to meet her quite a few times.  In fact on our first date I was introduced to Peter's parents and Jani and Orin Randall.  She has had health problems for quite a few years that was caused by a virus.  Her health had been slowly getting worse.  However a year ago her family threw her a HUGE surprise party with everyone she has touched in her life.  It was really neat to go to that and see a glimple of the life and friends Peter shared before we were married.

We made a family outing out of it and went to the viewing the night before in West Valley.  We booked a hotel with a fun swim place and let the kids play.  Peter went with some of his family the next day to the funeral and I stayed behind with the kids and played at the hotel since I didn't want to deal with three kids during a funeral.  Here they are above all couched out! 

Sister Randall was a sweet lady and she will be greatly missed.  It was especially hard because Peter's parents were in Denmark.  They were so close to them and they said their goodbye's before they left on their second mission to Denmark because they figured it would be the last time they see her...on this earth.  Thank heavens we have the gospel in our lives to know that this earth is just the beginning and not the end.
