February: so much water! Houses flooding, sump pumps everywhere!

February in Cache Valley brought wide spread flooding as all the mounds of snow melted quickly.  With record amounts of snowfall followed by record breaking temperatures, it caused widespread flooding.  In our neighborhood alone everyone either flooded (1-5 inches in their basement) or installed a sump pump soon enough.  People went from home to home working late hours, with no sleep jackhammering through footings, installing sump pumps, pulling up carpet, hauling around fans and shop vacs.  It was crazy.  We pulled through ok with only flooding in our food storage room which was common for everyone.

Jared Strawn cutting through his footings.  Peter and him helped each other out, afterward it was our house next.

With all the crazy amounts of snow came crazy amounts of fun! Our friends the Brandts put in some fun tubing hills and an ice skating rink in their backyard.  It made for a lot of fun! The boys had fun making it better and better.

For scouts Peter took all the boys around to dig around all the fire hydrants.

Valentines Day Dinner

Scripture reading can sometimes be quite entertaining.  Sometimes people break out in song, other times they read it in weird voices, and sometimes there is no better way to read your scriptures than on dad's back.
Nothing like playing a game of hippo against yourself:

Brooke and I went on a date to a gymnastics meet.  It was superhero night!

Brielle and I on a date to the library, she wanted to go so bad!

Corey learned how to make these and decided to decorate the entire house with these pink squishy papers taped on the walls for valentines.  So cute.

I finally got curtains! That's a big step for me!
Our basement shenanigans:

Brooke entered the science fair project by testing out different insulators. She did really well!

Casey wasn't feeling good this day and we were stuck inside. So we decided to make puppets out of our stuffed animals.  It was pretty funny and unusually time consuming!

Filling the day with making bubbles as big as you are at home!
