September: Trek Reunion, Soccer, Arrow of Light, Labor Day, Brielle preschool, Dance, YW, Women's Conference

Trek family reunion.  We played volleyball, roasted smores, and handed out cd's with all the pictures and a picture frame of trek.  Fun night!

Casey ran for Character Council at school.  These were his posters.  He did a great job and his speech went something like "Vote for me because I like Pizza! For one reason only: it gives me energy to be trustworthy, respectful, kind, and courteous.  Vote for me for the sake of pizza!" Pretty clever I thought.  His slogans were "Hot and Ready", "Ready to Serve", "Cheesy", "Will Deliver".  The school voted and he made the council.  He was pretty excited!

This is an image of a perfect summer day.  We did many of these days.  Hanging out at Wellsville Dam Kayaking.  Letting the kids come and go as they want as I sit and take in the view of the mountains and my kids playing in the water.  So peaceful!

Founders Day Parade!

After the parade and festivities we came home and labored on labor day.  We grouted our tile backsplash.  We love it!

My little caboose all ready for preschool.  Her first day! AH! I can't believe it! She was more than ready and so so excited. She knew the drill from watching the other kids and headed for her picture in front of the front door.

I mean seriously...how cute is she!
Casey giving his speech for character council:

Soccer was in full swing this fall with me coaching Brooke's soccer team and Casey on his first state team.  We had fun and learned a lot along the way.  Here we are at a soccer team night at the aquatic center.  Fun times! A little cold...but fun! It's never too cold for shaved ice!

First day of dance and boy was she excited! She loves loves dance!

Corey loves to play games! Here he is posing for a kindergarten picture of doing something he likes.

My little ninja has muscle...or boobs...I found his slippers stuffed in his shirt like this one night.  Too funny!

We took the YW to the temple for one of our themed activities.  Such a great time even in the rain! We were able to find shelter on the side of the temple and have a little lesson.  So fun and spiritual!

My YW and their moms:

One of our trek kids Jenna and her brother Tyler were in a very serious car accident.  Miracle after miracle took place and they are now doing okay with a lot of healing and recovery.  The community pulled together and supported them and raised money for them this night.  It was an inspiring night.

Casey's little soccer team.  They did great this year and only lost 2 games and won the others.  They are a fun little team to watch!

Took our YW miniature golfing

What a month! Casey is a stud and worked hard to earn his Arrow of Light.  He had his ceremony down at the American West Heritage Center.  They hand delivered his arrow on horseback via an old fashioned mail carrier.  Then a mock fight broke out with an Indian on horseback showing up.  Very fun for the kids.

These boys: Merritt, Michael, Corey.  Playing hard at Grandma and Grandpa Nielsons.

Macoy and Brielle:

Never a dull moment in the haystacks:

Brooke and Mackenzie's first time going to Women's Conference.  It's so fun to have my cute little sidekick with me! Even though I think she got slightly bored...

Corey's broken collar bone is healing nicely!

God allows perfect moments.  This was a perfect moment.  The sun shining, the fall leaves falling, and me and my little Brielle soaking it all up.  Watching her try to catch falling leaves and collecting them to take home.  This small moment in time could have lasted eternity and I would have been happy with that.

Visiting Great Grandma and playing catch with a balloon: priceless. Brielle has sure warmed up to her great-grandma!
